Changes are coming to Facility Rentals in 2024!

The City now utilizes the Team Sideline website for Facility Rentals. This allows applicants to view available dates and times for rental facilities, submit a facility reservation request, and pay for their facility reservation request online.

Highlighted Changes:

• Rental rates have changed from “full day/half day” rates to “hourly” rates.
• There is a 2-hour minimum for all rentals. The BBQ Area and Gazebo will continue to have a 5-hour maximum rental.
• Weekday rates are Monday – Thursday and Weekend rates are Friday - Sunday.
• Inflatables/Bounce Houses are only allowed at the Orting Station with a $200 damage deposit and liability insurance.

***Disclaimer - If you would like to rent the MPC, you must inquire at City Hall. Please do not ask at the Orting Library for keys, rental information, or to have rooms unlocked as they will not be able to help. ***

Want a view with your event on a clear day? City of Orting is the place! We are the Small Town, Big View City! Our facilities can be used for any special events or celebrations like a birthday party, a family reunion, a wedding or just a get together! Come and enjoy a day in Orting. We have a spot waiting to reserve for you!

Application, Rental and Deposit Payment must be received to the Recreation Department for any reservation to be put on the facility calendar for your event. Keys for the facility must be picked up at City Hall ONE BUSINESS DAY PRIOR to your event date.

Rentals are on a first come, first serve basis with application, refundable deposit and rental fee. We cannot put it on the calendar until we have gotten all required information.

Non Profits must provide a UBI Number that is currently active with the Secretary of State. The Non Profit group must pay for the rental. We will not take cash or a personal payment for a Non Profit.

Multi-Purpose Center

The Multi-Purpose Center (MPC) is located in the same building as the Library. The rental includes a big room (occupancy of 148), a kitchen with 2 stoves, a refrigerator, a freezer and counter space. This rental also includes tables and chairs. Plan your next party of event with us in the big open room with a stage! This facility is located at 202 Washington Ave S.

Rental Rates

Refundable Deposit: $150 (all rentals)

Alcohol Refundable Deposit: $300.00 (must also provide an alcohol permit and $1,000,000 Insurance with City of Orting as Additional Insured)

Orting Station

This newly built building constructed by volunteers is an open building with an area that includes a big open area, a restroom, a small area for counter space and a sink. It also has a big open grassy area as well as a brick area and a lovely fountain! No tables or chairs are available for this building. This facility is located at 101 Washington Ave N (The North Park on the corner of Washington Ave N and Calistoga St W).

Refundable Deposit: $100 (all rentals)

Inflatable Refundable Deposit: $200 (Applicant and Inflatable Vendor must also provide $1,000,000 Insurance with City of Orting as Additional Insured)

BBQ Covered Area

The BBQ Covered Area is located in the Main Park close to the Bell Tower. This facility is near the playground, the horse shoe pits and the park restroom. There is a big open BBQ Pit where the Lions Club does their famous chicken. This pit can be used by you as well. Contact the Lions Club for their racks. The BBQ Area can host up to 5 picnic tables if needed upon request. This facility is located at 101 Train St SW (Across from Copes Pharmacy).

Gazebo Covered Area

The Gazebo is located in the Orting South Main Park right in town. It is located right across from the Multi-Purpose Center/Library. This covered area features a nice cemented area with a railing. With the lovely view of Mt Rainier! This Facility is located at 102 Train St SW.
