The City of Orting has a "Strong Mayor" form of government. This means that the Mayor is the Chief Executive Officer of the City and its administration. Most small city mayors work another job, so it is typical for them to appoint a City Administrator, a full time professional manager, to supervise the day-to-day activities of the city.

In February, I spoke to the Council at the Study Session about entering into an intergovernmental agreement with a new organization known as the South Sound Housing Affordability Partners (SSHAP). In July I will be presenting that agreement for ratification. Here's why you should support it.
