Police Property
.
The property/evidence section is responsible for the intake, storage, and cataloging of items taken as evidence during criminal investigations, as well as found or seized property. All items stored by the property/evidence section are stored in a secure location with restricted access. Currently, the property/evidence section is managed by our evidence custodian Jonney Hernandez who constantly reviews the status of stored items, and purging items which no longer require storage.
If you need to retrieve or re-claim property or evidence that is with the Orting Police Department:
The property must first be cleared for release by the investigating officer of the case.
After release, an appointment MUST BE MADE with the property/evidence section for pickup.
An appointment to pick up property/evidence can be made by calling our evidence custodian Jonney Hernandez at our business telephone (360) 893-3111.
