Majestic View Estates Division II
The applicant, Stowe Investments, LLC, request a variance allowing reduced rear yard setbacks of 20 feet to the following lots: 39-60; and Reduced side yard setbacks of 5 feet to all lots: 1-60.
Majestic View Estates Division II is located at a portion of the North Line of the S.W. ¼ of Section 32, TWN 19N, RG.5E W.M. City of Orting. Tax Parcels 0519323032 and 0519324701.
The applicant states that:
There are special circumstances applicable to the subject property or to the intended use such as shape, topography, location, or surroundings that do not apply generally to the other property or class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
The variance is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a substantial property right or use possessed by other properties in the same vicinity and zone but which because of special circumstances is denied to the property in question.
The granting of the variance will not be materially detrimental to the public welfare or be injurious to the property or improvement in such vicinity and zone in which the subject property is located.

A hearing will be held Tuesday, April 11th, 2017, at 3:00pm at the Public Safety Building located at 401 Washington Avenue SE, Orting, WA 98360. A decision on the Variance Application will be made by the Hearing Examiner approximately 2 weeks after the hearing. The public is invited to express any comments or opinions at this hearing. People who are unable to attend the hearing may provide comment in writing to Jane Montgomery, City Clerk, at Orting City Hall, P.O. Box 489, Orting, WA 98360 by 5:00pm on Monday April 10th, 2017.
