Our mission is to educate and mobilize the community in reducing substance abuse among our youth so that they may thrive and reach their full potential in a safe and healthy environment.

Communities in Schools of Orting understands that it ‘takes a village’ and that our schools can’t do it alone. Our school-based coordinators work directly with at risk students to connect them with a support system that includes mentors, tutors, social services, resources for health and dental care and job training to increase proficiency in math and literacy with the goal of increasing the numbers of students who graduate.
