The City of Orting made the top twenty, coming in at 19, which is a move upward from 47, or 28 spaces, from the previous year. The report states “Cities across Washington are coming together to create inclusive communities that embrace all citizens of different ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds. These initiatives work to establish communities ‘without boundaries where people take care of each other regardless of their differences.’’’ The Orting Police Chief stated, he is very proud of the efforts of his officers working collaboratively with our citizens, which places Orting in this respected category.
